I have a real computer for the first time in a while! Virginia was interesting. Richmond has great museums, a beautiful hiking trail by the James River, and friendly folks. It is also drab in places and appears segregated. Charlottesville is an interesting University town with a great downtown pedestrian area, lots of environmentalists, a writer’s community, and more… it deserves more examination. Pittsburgh is my home town, one of my favorite places… we walked around the downtown area yesterday and hung out in Point St. Park, where the Allegheny and Mononghela Rivers come together to form the Ohio. This is really a picturesque town, not like the smokey aired image people have of it. We will be home Saturday evening after a family visit, I will post more thoughts and some pictures.
